A 20-YEAR-OLD man was punched in the face during a robbery in Dandenong.
Greater Dandenong CIU Detective Senior Constable Marissa Owens said he was listening to music as he walked along Halpin Way, about 10.50pm, on Wednesday 2 March.
Three dark-skinned men approached and one grabbed the victim from behind while another punched him in the face.
He initially refused demands to hand over his mobile phone.
“Eventually fear’s got the better of him and he’s handed over the phone,” Det Sen Const Owens said.
“The offenders have left on foot.”
The victim suffered bruising to his face.
