Teen charged over station assault

By CASEY NEILL

A TEEN has handed himself into police over a Yarraman Railway Station assault that left a man stranded on the tracks with a broken leg.
A Victoria Police spokeswoman said the 18-year-old Cranbourne West man attended Dandenong Police Station on Wednesday 20 April and has been charged with recklessly causing serious injury and conduct endangering life.
He has been bailed to appear at Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on Friday 3 June.
Vision from the Noble Park station platform taken about 6pm on Friday 8 April allegedly showed two men arguing, then one man punching the other and pushing him onto the tracks.
The attacker allegedly leaves the scene, returns and says something to the injured man, then flees on a pushbike.
Another bystander helps the victim from the tracks just two minutes before a train arrives.
