Nabbed after pursuit, kidnapping drama

Police charged a man over an alleged child-snatching in Dandenong North and car pursuit through several suburbs.
It was reported that a man, 22, forcibly took a two-year-old girl from her mother on Carlton Road about 8.50am on Friday 17 June.
Police allege the man left the area with the child in a white Holden station wagon.
Officers pursued the car until it had a minor collision and got stuck in traffic on Malvern Road, Malvern East, about 11.30am.
Police arrested the man and recovered the child, safe and well.
They charged the man, of no fixed address, with offences including evading police, reckless conduct, making threats to kill, motor vehicle theft and dangerous driving.
He has been remanded to appear at Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 28 June.
