Violent failed carjacking bid

A MAN was pinned between two cars in Bangholme in an attempted carjacking.
Police have been told the victims were on the Mornington-Peninsula Freeway, waiting to turn right onto Springvale Road when approached by the offender, about 7.45pm Friday 24 June.
An alleged stolen Nissan pulled up next to the victims who were driving a black 2008 Mazda 6 sedan, and the offender told the victim his rear tyre was flat.
The passenger of the Mazda got out of the car to check the tyre and the driver of the stolen blue 1999 Nissan sedan, with the registration YOX444, reversed into him, pinning the victim between the two cars.
He then verbally abused the victims before driving off north along Springvale Road.
Police are seeking public assistance to help identify the driver of the Nissan.
He is perceived to be of Caucasian appearance and aged 18-19 years old.
It is believed there was also a young woman seated in the offender’s front passenger seat.
