A thief made off with $200 after threatening two Dandenong workers with a pair of scissors.
Police said the man entered a Lonsdale Street business at 5.18am on Saturday 17 September.
“He would have had to access a laneway behind the shop and jump a locked metal gate to be able to gain access to the rear door of this business, which was open,” Greater Dandenong CIU Detective Senior Constable Marisa Owens said.
“He then entered and produced a pair of scissors, and held them to the throat of the victim.
She said the thief forced the 22-year-old Dandenong man into the shopfront, where he stole $185 from the cash register.
He then threatened a second victim, a 55-year-old Dandenong woman, by pointing the pair of scissors at her.
She handed over $15 cash and the thief left via the rear door.
