Springvale Snow Fest and Dandenong’s Australia Day Festival won national awards.
Last year’s Snow Fest won the Best Victorian Tourism Event title at the Australian Event Awards, held in Queensland on Wednesday 21 September.
The frosty fun day won Best New Event at the awards in 2013.
Judges commented that it was a fun and innovative event that brought the snow to people who might not otherwise have the opportunity to travel to the snowfields.
The Greater Dandenong Australia Day Festival won Best Victorian Community Event at the ceremony, which recognised outstanding achievements in the events space across Australia.
It won for being highly engaging and taking a modern approach to the national day.
