A Dandenong man who was bailed on 65 theft and burglary charges will now answer an extra 19 charges.
On Tuesday 11 October, a Dandenong magistrate remanded 25-year-old Adem Tezeli to reappear on Tuesday 15 November.
The 19 new charges related to theft, burglary, driving while his licence was suspended, contravening bail conditions and failing to answer bail, all of which occurred following his release on bail on Tuesday 13 September.
The Journal reported on 20 September that following a three-month investigation, Greater Dandenong CIU members executed two search warrants on 13 September in Cambridge Close, Berwick, and Glynda Street, Dandenong.
The searches followed a three-month investigation into burglaries and thefts on business premises throughout the south east targeting cash and electrical goods.
Following the searches officers arrested Tezeli and charged him with 65 offences relating to burglary and theft.
He was presented directly to Dandenong Magistrates’ Court where the magistrate released him on bail to reappear on Thursday 6 October. He failed to appear.
