Smoke over Dandenong South

By Casey Neill

A grass and scrub fire sent smoke over Dandenong South, Bangholme and Keysborough.
A CFA spokesman said crews were called to the Ordish Road blaze in Dandenong South at 1.48pm on Sunday 4 March.
He said that 14 vehicles attended the scene, and firefighters declared the scene controlled at 2.34pm.
The last trucks left the scene at 4.02pm.
The CFA issued an advice warning for Dandenong South, Bangholme and Keysborough, which said a mulch fire was burning and smoke might be visible.
“Firefighters are currently attending to this fire,” it said.
“There is no immediate threat to the community and no action is required.”
A Greater Dandenong CIU detective said the fire was deemed non-suspicious.
