Man arrested following shooting

Homicide Squad detectives have arrested a man in relation to the Springvale shooting on Sunday 10 March.

The 22-year-old from Dandenong is currently assisting police with their enquiries in relation to the alleged shooting that occurred in Springvale about 11.50pm.

He was arrested about at a property in Dandenong about 11.20am on Monday 11 March.

The victim, who is yet to be formally identified, died at the scene.

Police believe the parties were known to each other and do not believe there is any further threat to the community.

Investigators can also confirm the shooting is not connected to recent fatal shootings in Kensington, Meadow Heights and Dandenong.
