Shotgun fired in business arson

By Cam Lucadou-Wells

A burglar has set alight and fired at least two shotgun bullets inside a Dandenong South transport business, police say.

A male was seen running from out of a broken window in the Advantage Drive building about 9.30pm on Wednesday 18 September.

He got into a dark-coloured Subaru sedan without registration plates, which had been parked directly in front of the premises.

The car was driven southwards along Commercial Drive.

Fire crews were called to extinguish the fire within two of the building’s “side-rooms”.

It caused mainly smoke damage inside the property, police say.

Police later discovered shotgun bullets had been fired in an apparent attempt to break double-glazed windows.
