Homicide Squad detectives will stage the intercept point at Carlton Road, near Gladstone Road, between 5am-6am on Wednesday 4 December.

They are seeking witnesses or dash-cam footage in relation to a fight between the victim and another man on Carlton Road about 5am on Monday 2 December.

Police are also seeking witnesses who saw a man chasing another man on Gladstone or Carlton roads around the same time.

Information is also sought on a man acting suspiciously in front or rear yards in Dandenong North that morning, particularly anyone wearing a dark check shirt and shorts.
