The managers of Dandenong Market have had their contract renewed for 12 months by Greater Dandenong Council.
The council opted for an extension with manager Savills Pty Ltd up to June 2013 to give it time to complete a review of the market’s governance structure.
In a report last week, the council stated Savills had had a challenging five years including a major refurbishment of the market and disruptions to traders.
