Good golly, it’s Bollywood fever

DANDENONG’S Foster Street became took on the sights and sounds of India during the inaugural Bollywood Festival yesterday.

The festival included many aspects of Indian and sub-continental culture with a carnival of food, dance, music and sport.

The crowd enjoyed activities such as Bollywood dance lessons, yoga sessions and a cricket clinic.

Geoff Cox from travel show Coxy’s Big Break made an appearance along with Greater Dandenong mayor Youhorn Chea.

The festival is also a promotion vehicle for Dandenong’s growing Little India businesses and organisers hope to make it an annual event.
