Man shot at soccer training

A man was shot close to his eye during soccer training in Springvale South on Thursday.

Police believe he was shot by a shooter with an air rifle in a nearby park about 7.40pm. The 24-year-old victim, of Hampton Park, was treated for minor injuries by paramedics and taken to hospital in a stable condition.
