Fun galore for seniors

GREATER Dandenong’s Seniors Festival events are on this week, not last week as was recently reported by the Weekly.

Highlights include food-lovers’ tours of central Dandenong and Springvale, and cultural tours of Springvale and Little India.

The events, which run until Friday, include laughter therapy and Skype workshops, fitness and dance sessions, art displays and social tennis.

For foodies, it’s a treat from the melting pot with cultural tours of central Dandenong, Springvale, Little India and the Afghan Bazaar.

On Thursday, crooner Derrick J will perform a free concert at Springvale Town Hall. It starts at 10am. Bookings: 8558 7955.

There’s a plethora of things on the checklist: For foodies, it’s a treat from the melting pot with cultural tours of central Dandenong, Springvale, Little India and the Afghan Bazaar.

On a more serious note, the Council for the Ageing will give a presentation on how to manage your medicines. Waltz back in time at an afternoon dance held by Keysborough Senior Citizens or go on a tour of the historical gardens at Heritage Hill .
