Man charged after police pursuit in Dandenong North

A DARK grey VN Commodore SS reached speeds of 150km/h while chased by police on Chelthenham Road early last Saturday morning.

Police say the car was pursued on Chandler Road, Keysborough at 3.45am, after failing to stop during a police intercept.

Police called off the chase at Lower Dandenong Road, Dingley Village because the pursued car was being driven in such a dangerous manner, Detective Sergeant Miro Majstorovic of Greater Dandenong CIU said.

In a separate police pursuit last Wednesday afternoon, a 43-year-old Endeavour Hills man was charged with driving and assault offences.

The chase was between between Hillside Avenue and the McFees-Stud roads intersection, Dandenong North about 4pm.

The assault charges ‘‘related to an incident prior to the pursuit’’, Detective Majstorovic said.

Any information to Greater Dandenong police on 9767 7444.
