Cops bust pair of bomb-makers in Dandenong

By  Deborah Gough/The Age

Two old-style cops walking the beat in Dandenong have sprung what they believe to be two would-be arsonists making a homemade bomb.

Dandenong police were patrolling near  Greaves Reserve in Bennet Street about 4.30am on Saturday when they spotted a suspicious car.

The officers then allegedly found an explosive device. The bomb response unit disabled the device.

A 23-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman, both from Glen Waverley, were arrested at the scene. The pair are assisting police.
