Lifting the lid on burqas, veils, hoodies

Kosar Majani is among a group of local and international artists showing the use of veils is not a ‘black-and-white’ issue. The artists feature in a Walker Street Gallery exhibition of decorative burqas, veils and their more ‘street’ equivalent hoodies. The display is open 11am-5pm weekdays and 11am-3pm Saturdays until June 29 at the corner of Walker and Robinson streets, Dandenong. The show is also part of the Nocturnal festival night tours of Dandenong on Wednesday and Thursday. Picture: Rob Carew
