A WOULD-be thief was chased along Thomas Street, Dandenong, after an armed robbery was foiled by a customer.
About 9pm on Thursday, June 13, a man entered Sadaqat Superstore with a bottle and smashed it on the counter, threatening the attendant and demanding cash.
A customer entered the shop and the offender fled.
The staff member and customer gave chase. In a scuffle, the attendant sustained injuries to his face and the offender escaped.
