GREATER Dandenong council will overhaul car parking in Springvale
and Dandenong and monitor parking in Noble Park.
Surveys last year found
there was up to 100 per cent on-street occupancy around central
Dandenong, Dandenong Hospital and central Springvale at peak times,
spilling into residential streets, while off-street and periphery car
parks had available spaces.
There is likely to be a review of on-street
time limits and charges, and a study of ways to increase the appeal of
off-street parking.
