Strength and skills in the balance

Scarf skills help Emerson students to develop their co-ordination.

EMERSON students have tumbled and juggled their way to co-ordination, strength and confidence.
Circus Oz visited the Dandenong school’s middle school campus and Dandenong West Primary School in the lead-up to performing But Wait … There’s More at the Drum Theatre on 21 and 22 August.
About 260 students took part in nine 90-minute workshops over four days, using circus skills to learn life skills and build leadership.
“The Emerson students embraced the opportunity to learn new skills in such an encouraging and enjoyable atmosphere,” campus principal Dianne Wright said.
Each student received a Circus Oz and RACV show bag with juggling balls, a frisbee and water bottle, plus access to discounted tickets to the Drum performances.
