A Keysborough college has broken ground on a new VCE and science centre.
Mt Hira College celebrated the turning of the sod for the new buildings on Monday 14 August.
It received a grant for the facility under the State Government’s Capital Funding Program for Non-Government Schools.
The building will be two storeys, the ground floor with two senior science rooms with separate spaces for theory and practical work, including a presentation room and staff spaces.
There will also be two teaching and learning spaces on the ground floor and one breakout space for VCE students.
The first floor will be built as a dry shell and fitted out at another stage with three learning spaces, several group spaces for collaborative learning, two lecture rooms, staff space and amenities.
