THE Noble Park Bulls are charging towards the Eastern Football League division-one finals after a 76-point belting of Blackburn.
It was second place against last and the Bulls sent a message to ladder leaders Vermont with only two games remaining in the home-and-away season.
Having beaten Vermont by 32 points in their last encounter back in round 10, the Bulls would be quietly confident of their chances come finals time.
A regulation win at Pat Wright Reserve on Saturday was headlined by impressive individual goal-kicking performances.
Brent Williams led the charge with six and Adam Quinn again impressed, booting five.
Playing coach Shane Burgmann was happy with the progress of the side, but said there was still plenty to play for in the home-and-away season.
“We play away at Mitcham this week and it’s always a tough trip,” he said.
“To secure second spot on the ladder, it’s a must-win game.”
A win this week will ensure the double chance for the Bulls.
“That’s our goal, it’s so important to have,” he said.
The final round of the season is shaping up to be a blockbuster, with the Bulls and Donvale set to clash at Pat Wright Reserve.
Division One finals will be played at Bayswater, a large open ground that Burgmann said the Bulls would easily adapt to.
“It’s big, but not much bigger than ours and adapting will no problem,” he said.
