FIRE authorities are investigating the cause of a Dandenong house fire after a blaze erupted in the centre of the home while it was unoccupied.
Fire broke out in the Ash Grove home at about noon on Friday, 17 March, before crews from Dandenong and Hallam were called to the scene, along with police.
The fire was contained to the centre of the house, although the building suffered smoke and minor water damage. The cause of the blaze is still unknown and the incident is now under investigation by fire fighters.
