THE Dandenong Pennant D hockey side recorded a shock 3-4 loss against Toorak-East Malvern (TEM) at Mills Reserve on Saturday.
With just two rounds left in the home-and-away season, the loss put Dandenong at risk of missing the finals.
Dandenong, sitting fourth, is just three points clear of Monash University, which is chasing the elusive top-four position.
Russell Knight blasted two goals past the TEM goalkeeper and Dandenong captain Gary Cake scored one goal.
Playing bottom-placed Camberwell this weekend, the Dandenong side will be keen to record a convincing win and cement a finals spot.
