IT was a day out for the Endeavour Hills Rugby Union Club on Saturday, scoring triumphant wins across all age divisions.
The six teams from Frog Hollow Reserve recorded a combined total of 223 points and conceded only 24.
The under 18 team beat Eltham 29-0 and the under 16s beat the Southern Districts 22-12.
An impressive under-14 performance blasted Box Hill 34-0.
The under 12 side thumped their Southern District rivals 45-0, while the Masters side easily accounted for Boroondara 24-12.
The A grade team played away against a hard-working Melbourne, which was outplayed by a fitter and faster Endeavour Hills.
Despite the score, the Melbourne team fought hard until the final whistle.
The Melbourne players earned the respect of their opposition with their determination and continued desire to take the game up to Hills.
Scoring early with strong running from the loose forwards, the Hills players connected with the backs to cross within three minutes of the kick-off.
This set the pattern of strong running through the centre, resulting in room to move for the backs and loose forwards.
The final tally of 13 tries and seven goal conversions included three spectacular tries to Buki Mani, two each to Aaron Skipworth, Anthony Uili, Vince and Stenter Mani.
Presley Naea converted six goal attempts in what was a stellar performance off the boot.
The final scores were 79-0.
Endeavour Hills, after finishing the season in fourth place, plays Monash University this Saturday at 3pm at Frog Hollow Reserve in the crucial elimination final.
The students will need serious tutoring before the match if they want to challenge Hills, which won convincingly their last two encounters.
