It was a royal weekend at The Castle, Greater Dandenong’s newest youth venue. Following an official opening last Thursday, The Castle played host to a Knight of Metal – a Muso Network-organised production featuring heavy metal bands. The Muso Network’s Iolande Di Biase reported for Star.
THE night was a huge success packing out The Castle with 270 people eagerly awaiting to hear six major acts rock out all night.
Muso Network chairperson Elwyn Vincent, a heavy metal fan, said he couldn’t believe how many heavy metal fans turned out for the event.
In between set changes our master of ceremonies Daryl Cazeneuve, also known as Mr T, ran competitions such as air guitar, a heavy metal quiz to see who was the biggest metal fan, and the chance to win Roadrunner showbags,
The highlight of the night was the headline band Moredhel, with frontwoman Jaxx bringing inspiration to women in the audience by showing there were no boundaries.
The next Muso Network event is on 19 August, which will be the Battle of the Bands heat number two.
