IT’S almost graduation time for a group of green Noble Park traders.
Since April the City of Greater Dandenong has been educating traders on cutting back stormwater pollution under the banner of Business Streams.
Noble Park traders will graduate from the program in a ceremony tomorrow after having completed the last in a series of workshops.
City mayor Peter Brown said the goal of the program was to encourage environmental sustainability in the business environment.
“Stormwater litter is a huge issue that is not often focused on because its effects are largely unseen,” he said.
“Business Streams will not only educate traders, but also encourage active participation through peer partnerships and goal-setting.
“The upcoming workshop and graduation ceremony is a way council can say thank you to all those involved as well as highlighting the importance of stormwater pollution to the wider community.”
