THE horror look of this Keysborough smash was not enough to stop the car’s two occupants from fleeing the scene.
Firefighters were called out during the early hours of Friday, 22 December to a collision between a car and a tree in Wahroonga Avenue, Keysborough.
According to firefighters, the car left the roadway, travelled over a footpath and then demolished several bollards at the entrance of a park before hitting the tree.
The scene was empty when fire crews, police and paramedics arrived – except for the visual reminder of what could have been a pre-Christmas tragedy on Greater Dandenong’s roads.
