GREATER Dandenong council is calling for community groups looking for grants to attend information sessions before an application period opens this month.
The council’s General Support Program is a budget-related allocation of funds for programs, projects and activities.
Funds are handed out annually across a range of categories including health and wellbeing, festivals, arts activities, young people, diversity and harmony.
Applications for Greater Dandenong’s 2007-08 General Support Program will open on 19 February and close on 13 April.
Information sessions to learn more about the grants, and how to apply for them, will be held at both Springvale and Dandenong council offices.
Springvale meetings will be held on Thursday, 8 February between 6pm and 8pm, and on Thursday, 15 February between 9.30am and 11.30am in meeting rooms one and two at the Springvale council office.
Dandenong meetings will be held on Tuesday, 20 February between 9.30am and 11.30am and Tuesday, 27 February between 6pm and 8pm in the training room, level one, at Dandenong council offices.
Application forms are available at council customer service centres, Springvale and Dandenong libraries, Neighbourhood Houses and Community Centres and the Greater Dandenong council website at www.greaterdandenong.com.
