THE Southern Football League (SFL) has delayed the start of its season until 28 April after succumbing to the pressure of the big dry.
Last week league chief Phil Stevens told Star the SFL aimed to kick into action on 14 April, but pressure from local councils had forced a rescheduling.
The restructure means the SFL will play its season over 18 continuous rounds, including over the Queen’s Birthday long weekend.
