VICURBAN is gearing up to release its draft masterplan of the $300 million Revitalising Central Dandenong project at the end of April.
Major Projects Minister Theo Theophanous visited Dandenong last week and is now believed to have taken the duty of announcing the masterplan later this month.
The draft will outline VicUrban’s plans to revitalise central Dandenong and is sure to appease retailers who have been critical of the planning body for not releasing enough information prior to the draft masterplan.
VicUrban this week gave a presentation to the Dandenong Retail Traders’ Association (DRTA) to give an outline of the Revitalising Central Dandenong project so far.
DRTA chairman Roy Aspinall said no big announcements were made and retailers would have to wait and see the masterplan before passing any further judgement.
