Man stabbed at boarding house

A MAN was taken to The Alfred hospital with stab wounds after an attack in a Dandenong boarding house last week.
Police said two men entered the Hemmings Street house at 6.25pm on Friday, 25 May and confronted a 47-year-old man.
A 29-year-old resident walked into the room and police believe he was grabbed by one of the men and stabbed in the side a number of times. A third resident, aged 43, then entered the room and had an altercation with the unarmed man but escaped serious injury. The two assailants fled the house and the 29-year-old stabbing victim was taken to hospital in a non life-threatening condition.

POLICE have arrested a 17-year-man and 40-year-old woman from Epping over the bashing of a Keysborough man in his own home last week.
Police said the incident occurred at 1am on Friday, 25 May at a house in Eldo Street, Keysborough.
A 50-year-old man was in his lounge room when several people broke through a glass sliding door armed with iron bars and hammers, asked about some property and then attacked him. The man called 000 and police and members of the dog squad were sent to the house. The injured man was taken to the Alfred Hospital in a non-life threatening condition with head and suspected internal injuries.

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to two unrelated robberies at Dandenong Train Station last week.
In the first incident on Tuesday, 22 May at 8.05pm, police said a 16-year-old Dandenong youth waiting at the station was approached by another man who asked for a cigarette.
The man was refused a cigarette, but returned almost immediately with a group of four other men. They asked the teen, who was accompanied by a 15-year-old Lynbrook girl, if he had cannabis, before one man produced a knife and put it to the 16-year-old’s throat. The group stole the teen’s mobile phone and wallet before fleeing.
In the second incident, on Wednesday, 23 May at 9.30pm, a man grabbed a 21-year-old Dandenong man’s arms and pulled them behind his back while another man struck him twice to the side of the head. They stole a mobile phone and fled down Foster Street.

A NOBLE PARK North mother will face Melbourne Magistrates’ Court after she allegedly bashed her nine-year-old daughter.
The Department of Human Services, with help from Victoria Police, has taken the daughter away from the 28-year-old mother, who police have charged with intentionally causing serious injury, assault with a weapon and assault by kicking. The mother will appear before Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 6 June.
