EVER wondered if the old saying “opposites attract” is true?
A new production at the Drum Theatre in Dandenong aims to explore that concept in an offbeat comedy starring one of Australia’s biggest names in entertainment.
The Housekeeper stars Peter Moon, known for his comic wit in Fast Forward and Neighbours, as well as Evelyn Krape, who has performed with every major theatre company in Victoria.
Moon stars as a middle-aged, rather stuffy literary artist and bachelor who hires an eccentric bag lady as his housekeeper after the death of his mother.
Their initial reserve towards each other develops into hilarious antipathy as the two battle each other with side-splitting consequences.
The Housekeeper will be performed on Wednesday, May 30 at 2pm and 8pm at the Drum Theatre, Lonsdale Street, Dandenong.
Tickets for the matinee performance are $30 for adults and $22.50 for Drum members. The evening performance is $35 for adults, $30 concession and $25 for Drum members. Bookings: 9771 6666.
