Project progress on agenda for retailers

THE latest news on major projects in central Dandenong will be presented to members of the Dandenong Retail Traders Association at its meeting on Tuesday, 4 October.
City of Greater Dandenong CEO Carl Wulff will update members on the Dandenong Town Hall and Drum Theatre complex, both nearing completion.
He will also explain the progress of the Dandenong Market refurbishment and the Saleyards housing development.
Association president Roy Aspinall said the projects would give Central Dandenong an entirely new look.
“It’s an exciting transitional process that will see Greater Dandenong enter into a new era.”
He said Mr Wulff will answer members’ questions.
“This will be a most informative meeting and I encourage retailers to attend.
“All retailers are welcome, be they members or not, but we do hope that all retailers will eventually join.
“Attendance at the General Meetings is a wonderful opportunity to network with fellow Central Dandenong retailers.”
The meeting is in the President’s Room at the Club Grand, 139155, Thomas Street, Dandenong, from 6pm.
Mr Aspinall said it would be the last of the year.
“Due to the Melbourne Cup Day holiday there will be no general meeting on the first Tuesday in November so this will be the last for 2005. The first in 2006 is set down for Tuesday, February 7 at the newly refurbished Dandenong Town Hall and Drum Theatre,” he said. “The evening will provide retailers with the chance to experience the exciting new complex.”
On Tuesday, 29 November, the Dandenong Retail Traders’ Association annual meeting and business awards dinner will be held at the Dandenong Club.
“All Central Dandenong retailers should mark this important date in their diary,” Mr Aspinall said.
