Syringe stealer carjacks woman

A MAN armed with a syringe stole a woman’s car at Dandenong Plaza on Saturday afternoon.
Police are appealing for information about the incident, which occurred in the McCrae Street car park about 1.30pm.
The victim was sitting in her driver’s seat when a man approached, opened the door, threatened her with a syringe and demanded she get out of the car.
Police said she complied, and he jumped in the car and drove away.
The victim had noticed the same man loitering in the car park area before the incident.
Police would like to speak to a Good Samaritan who tried to intervene during the robbery but left the scene before police arrived.
The stolen car is a red 2006 Ford sedan with registration number UQI 236.
