MULTICULTURAL Dandenong was on display in all its glorious colour and diversity at the inaugural Emerge Under the Big Top Festival at Dandenong Market on Sunday.
The festival is presented annually in six locations around Victoria.
Stars of the show were performers, cooks, artists and musicians from the many refugee communities who now call the City of Greater Dandenong home.
Young perfomers vied for applause and prize money in the Emerge Under the Big Top talent contest, while more established performers such as Hazara pop singer Taqi Khan and hip-hop duo Flybz also performed.
Drum Theatre and the City of Greater Dandenong invite you to be part of this free, cultural concert guaranteed to entertain the whole family.
The festival was a prelude to the free Emerge concert which will be staged at the Drum Theatre on Saturday 19 July. The concert will showcase the stories of different Dandenong communities through song, dance and comedy.
Residents of the City of Greater Dandenong can book their free seat by calling the box office on 8571 1666.
Big Top, big talent
