Professor delivers his punch

POUND for pound one of the most explosive African boxers in history will make his presence felt in Dandenong this week.
The Dandenong Thunder Soccer Club is proud to host the three-time World Boxing Champion Azumah Nelson in an Evening With Azumah on Friday 12 September at George Andrews Reserve on Trewin Street, Dandenong.
He is best remembered in Australian boxing circles for breaking hearts as he defeated Jeff Fenech for the WBC World Super Featherweight at Princes Park in March 1992.
Nelson will dust off his memories and talk with the audience about his experiences as a world champion as he launches his new book, The Professor.
Proceeds from the event will go to Nelson’s foundation in Africa, which encourages young children and gives them opportunities as he bought land and plans to build a local school.
