KIDS can walk the plank in pirate gear this weekend in a best-dressed contest with a twist.
Intrapac’s Somerfield estate in Keysborough off Perry Road will host International Talk Like a Pirate Day celebrations from 10am to noon on Sunday 14 September.
There’ll be prizes for the children who win the Best Dressed Pirate Competition and Talk Like a Pirate Competition, and a pirate adventure playground will be the backdrop for the activities.
Captain Jack Sparrow will walk the plank and there’ll be a chocolate treasure hunt, a giant pirate ship jumping castle and free pirate cupcakes and balloon twisting.
International Talk Like a Pirate Day officially falls on 19 September.
