RAMSAY Street was the one-stop-shop for hair and beauty knowledge for students from Noble Park English Language School last month.
South East Local Learning and Employment Network’s Local Community Partnerships (SELLEN LCP) department organised a tour of the Neighbours set and a behind the scenes look at the importance the hair and beauty industry plays in helping make the television show a hit.
A total of 15 students from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, including some from Noble Park English Language School, visited Global Studios in Nunawading where Neighbours is filmed, followed by the Hairhouse Warehouse, Train Edge and Totally Indigo hair and beauty businesses.
The tour later included visits to various hair and beauty salons and academies where students were able to listen to employees speak about their jobs, equipment and various products that are used and also the apprenticeships and opportunities that are available within the industry.
