READING Cinemas in Dandenong will open on Thursday 28 August.
The long-awaited return of the silver screen to Dandenong after Village closed down both its Dandenong and Waverley Gardens complexes within the last 12 months is less than a month away.
The state-of-the-art Reading Cinemas complex will be located in the Dandenong Plaza and feature six cinema screens.
Each theatre will seat between 140 and 200 people.
Reading will provide cinema-goers with stadium seating and digital surround sound, and is promising all the bells and whistles of a modern theatre. Dandenong Plaza centre manager Scott Crellin said Reading Cinemas would be welcomed with open arms by Greater Dandenong residents.
“Dandenong Plaza is delighted to have Reading Cinemas on the premises and is looking forward to celebrating the exciting launch with our retailers, visitors and local community,” he said.
Reading Cinemas will announce its premiere film for the Dandenong site next month, and the Plaza is planning to hold a launch event with more details to be announced over the coming weeks.
