HALLAM’S A&L Group was nominated as a finalist for Dandenong’s Regional Business Awards last week.
Established almost 30 years ago, the company began with two families with the initials A and L entering the window industry.
The A&L Group now consists of A&L Architectural, A&L Windows and A&L Screens, and operates throughout Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia.
The business moved to Hallam from Bayswater in 1993, it now has 7,600 square meters under one roof.
Finance director Darrell Bramley said that people were an important part of A&L.
“Approximately 15 per cent of our 350 employees have more than 10 years service,” he said.
“We have also recently put 30 of our production staff through certificate IV training focusing on lean production.”
