Links probed in fast food armed robberies

Two masked men armed with knives robbed a fast food restaurant in Springvale on Monday 25 July.
Police said they entered the Springvale Road address just after 9pm and threatened the four staff members, demanding cash.
The staff handed over an amount of money, and the thieves fled the store.
Investigators believe the duo might be responsible for another armed robbery about 9.45pm that night in Heatherton.
Two armed men held up staff at a fast food restaurant on Warrigal Road, directing staff to the store’s rear while they emptied tills.
They fled the scene in a waiting car thought to be a small silver hatch that had been reported stolen.
