Police hunt after asault

DETECTIVES from Frankston Embona Armed Robbery taskforce are seeking public assistance following an attempted armed robbery and serious assault on a 75-year-old man on Friday night.
About 7.45pm the man was walking on Webster Street and noticed two men standing at the intersection of Hutton Street.
The man continued, but soon became aware that two men were following him.
One of them asked for a cigarette and some money.
The man replied that he did not have any cigarettes or money.
The men fell after being struck on the back of the head with a piece of wood. The two men then searched the victim and kicked him on the head and body several times before running off.
On reaching home, family members took him to the Dandenong Hospital where he received treatment for his injuries.
Both men were about 20 years old, one was 168cm in height, had olive skin, was of slim build with dark hair and wearing a black and white scarf pulled over the bottom part of his face. The other was Caucasian, 173cm tall with blonde hair shaved on the sides and long in the middle, of solid build and wearing colourful runners.
