IN reply to the letter from A. Adams (Star, 30 April) I find it very interesting the comments made regarding letters from Alan Gordon. It seems you have misunderstood the letter submitted from Des Kelly, as if I read it correctly he only mentioned two councillors and their performance.
As you are a Keysborough resident, I would have thought you would have been in high praise of your local councillor, considering the Des Kelly letter never mentioned her so was he saying she and the others are not doing their job.
I must say I, and many like me, enjoy the letters Alan Gordon has submitted to local papers, as he is about the issues at hand.
A point you seem to have missed is why have you not mentioned the other repeat writers who have been attacking each other on a regular basis through the letter columns for a while.
In Australia we are lucky we have a democratic right to vote in local state and federal elections and furthermore a freedom of speech.
Finally your comment for younger people to be on council, you need to remove the dead wood, which are past the use-by date.
