THE Interfaith Network of the City of Greater Dandenong (IFN) welcomes the Victorian government’s decision to lead a Harmony Walk to reaffirm our state’s strong support for multiculturalism.
The IFN has been concerned by recent reports of crime in Victoria and elsewhere in Australia which may have been racially or religiously motivated.
Some of those who have been affected by such crime – including the family and friends of victims – live, work or study in and around Greater Dandenong.
The Harmony Walk will begin at Carlton Gardens at 12.30 pm on Sunday, 12 July and proceed through Melbourne’s central business district to Federation Square.
