A 40-year-old man has been mugged at knifepoint by three males in a dark BMW just south of Hemmings Park, Dandenong.
The victim had been waiting for a friend to pick him up on Weller Street about 4am on Sunday 9 December.
The BMW drove past and did a U-turn.
The man has been followed by the BMW as he turned and walked down Berry Lane.
The armed robbers got out of the car, assaulted the victim and produced a knife.
They stole the man’s phone and fled the scene.
The robbers were described as Islander appearance, stocky builds and aged in their early-mid twenties.
The BMW driver was 165-170 centimetres and wearing a white hat and light brown top.
A man in the front passenger seat was described as 180 centimetres and wearing a black ‘rappers top’ with grey writing.
The other robber was 170 centimetres with a goatie beard and wearing a white or grey hat.
