IT took less than an hour for Noble Park to set up a seven-wicket win against Endeavour Hills on Saturday.
The Hills were in a solid position at 3/147 with coach John Hayes at the crease, but a devastating collapse – that included four ducks – saw Noble Park claim 7/15 in the space of 45 minutes.
The Hills were heading for a 200-plus score, but were skittled for just 162.
Jake D’Atri was the architect in the demolition job claiming the impressive figures of 5/28 from eight overs and had support from veteran all-rounder Peter Harper who finished with 3/26 (9).
In reply, Noble Park lost openers Ashley Bradshaw (0) and Andrew O’Meara (1) early, which had them sitting precariously at 2/10, but Dean Edmunds (46 not out) and Harper (80) steadied the innings with a 129-run stand.
D’Atri also chipped in with a quick 22 not out (26), as Noble Park passed the required target only three wickets down.
This week Noble Park will pad up against Mt Waverley at Pat Wright Snr Oval.
