STUDENTS at Yarraman Oaks Primary School showed off their skills during YOPS Day, part of the school’s celebration of Education Week.
Principal Bill Liston said each year Yarraman Oaks celebrates the week by highlighting one of its philosophies – community, diversity and opportunity.
This year was opportunity, which saw teachers and Grade 5 and 6 students lead other students in lessons about their passion on 18 May.
“Several students were leading in there area of their passion,’ Mr Liston said.
“It was dependent on their passions in life and what they wanted to share with everyone.”
All students from Grade 3 to Grade 6 took part in the lessons including dance, art and craft, computer technology, football or rugby.
“The kids were well organised and confident,” Mr Liston said.
“And all of the participants were involved and engaged.”
