CLOSE to 80 students and staff were in the Lighthouse Christian College’s production of Bugsy Malone, performed last week.
The cast, including students from Year 6 to Year 12, rehearsed about three hours a week for six months.
The students were involved in a range of roles, including cast, crew, band, building sets, costume design and catering.
Bugsy Malone was the first musical for the school in more than six years and told of gangster warfare in New York in 1929, specifically the rivalry between Dandy Dan’s gang and Fat Sam Stacetto, who enlists the help of Bugsy Malone after his gang was poached.
